George & Hattie Cluck Homestead

Much of the land around this area was one the Cluck Ranch. Returning to Texas in 1872, the Clucks bought this 13 acrea piece of land situated on the head waters of Brushy Creek. This is where George and Hattie's home once was located, near the natural spring that produces Cluck Creek. Located on the west side of US 183, north of Buttercup Creek Blvd. This is also the site of Cluck Springs and old Indian midden.
