John M. King Log House

This small one-and-one half story log house may have been built as early as 1859.  John M. King, a farmer from Alabama, and his family occupied the home until 1917.  It was later bought by a politician who was said to have entertained many dignitaries in lavish style.  Located off of Volente Road, north of the Dies Ranch Road intersection.  The refurbished home is approximately .5 miles east off Volente Road, with entry via a one-lane road.
